This short safari tour takes you to Murchison Falls National Park which is the largest national park in Uganda and it is situated in Masindi close Bugungu Wildlife Reserve and the Karuma Wildlife Reserve.
Murchison Falls National Park sits on the shore of Lake Albert, in northwest Uganda. It’s known for Murchison Falls, where the Victoria Nile River surges through a narrow gap over a massive drop. Park wildlife includes elephants and hippos, and there are chimpanzees in the Kaniyo Pabidi mahogany forest. The Lake Albert Delta is home to rare shoebill storks. There are game fish in the cascades of Karuma Falls.
We will pick you up from your hotel early morning and transfer you to Murchison Falls National Park, Via Ziwa Rhino Ranch for Rhino tracking. Tracking the rhinos will take approximately 1-2 hours.
We will a stopover for lunch on our way to Masindi. After lunch depart to the top of the fall.
Dinner and overnight either at Nile Safari Camp, Murchison River Lodge or Similar.
Depart for a morning game drive after breakfast. The Murchison Falls has wildlife game animals like elephants, waterbuck, Buffalo, Jackal, Genet, Mongoose, oribi, Bushbuck, warthog, Jacksons’ hartebeest, hyena, giraffe, bush pig, leopard, lion. You will also spot primates here include Baboons, velvet monkeys, Pitas monkeys.
Return to your accommodation for lunch, then go for afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of the falls the launch trip takes about three hours return and 1.45hrs one way. You will be dropped off at the base from where you meet a ranger guide to walk you to the top – about 45mins hike, afterwards meet your driver when you get back to the top of the falls and he will drive you back to the lodge.
Dinner and overnight either at Nile Safari Camp, Murchison River Lodge or Similar.
Early morning breakfast, then we head back to Kampala with en-route visit to Kaniyo Pabidi a section of Budongo forest.
Arrive back late afternoon and we drop you off to your hotel, residence or at the airport for your onward travel plans.
