Overview
This 4 days short safari is suited for those staying in or arriving via Mombasa international airport and it travels through; Tsavo East National park, Amboseli National Park and Taita Hills wildlife Sanctuary
This rendezvous short safari provides you an excellent opportunity to view a diverse variety of wildlife and the overshadowing snow-capped peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro.
The safari can be scheduled to depart any day based on a minimum number of 2 pax.
Pick up from the airport or your South/North coast beach hotel and depart after safari briefing by our team.
You will be driven north by our knowledgeable driver guide, along the main highway towards Nairobi, following the route of the railway line built by the British in the late nineteenth century. The road passes through the warehouses and workshops on the outskirts of Mombasa, climbing steadily and soon the vast plains of Tsavo become visible in the distance, with the rolling Taita Hills on the horizon. Enter Tsavo East National Park through Bachuma Gate.
Arrive at your lodge where you will check in and have lunch.
Afternoon game drives in the Tsavo East National park and return to the lodge at sunset.
Dinner and Overnight Ashnil Aruba Lodge or similar on a full board basis (Lunch, Dinner, breakfast)
Depart to Amboseli after an early morning breakfast. Drive to the main highway and continue northwards, passing Hunters Lodge, the sight of the infamous ‘Man-eaters of Tsavo’ incident where lions attacked the workers building the railway, made famous in a Hollywood movie. Pass Emali town and head south towards Amboseli national park. You will catch sight of the snow – capped Mount Kilimanjaro if the weather is clear. Arrive at your camp in time for lunch and relaxation, or for the swimming enthusiastic, have a dive in the swimming pool. In the afternoon, our driver tour guide will drive you out into the national park for a game viewing. Return to the lodge or camp in the evening
Overnight at Amboseli Serena safari lodge similar on a full board (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner)
After an early morning game drive and breakfast, Leave the east and drive to Taita Hills wildlife sanctuary. Arrive in time for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive in the Sanctuary, returning to the lodge in the evening.
We will take you on a night game drive after dinner, where you will have an opportunity to view nocturnal wildlife in their habitat.
Overnight at Salt Lick Safari Lodge on a full board a full board (Lunch, Dinner, breakfast)
Enjoy an early morning game drive in the sanctuary returning to the lodge for breakfast.
Check out and drive back to Mombasa, arriving in the afternoon.
Drop off at your South/North coast beach hotel or the Moi International airport.
If payment is to be made in cash, Dollars, Euros or Kenya Shillings are accepted. The rate of exchange will be communicated to you.
Please note, in a case of payments by credit card, a surcharge can be added to cover processing of payment. The same will be communicated to you prior.
Payment can also be made through a bank or wire transfer. Note that ALL bank charges will be paid by you.
Upon a written confirmation, note that you will be required to pay a deposit as outlined in writing and a Maggie Holidays invoice stating the amount to be paid.
A deposit payment can range from 30% – 40% depending on the time frame of booking to start of safari. Balance payment must be 4-6 weeks prior to commencement of the safari and monies received in our account in full.
For last minute bookings, Maggie Holidays reserves the right to request for full payment upfront before commencement of the safari.
Any safari deposit paid shall be refunded less the cost of cancellation fees levied by hotels and administrative costs as below.
Should conditions arise that will cause you to cancel your safari booking, you must notify Maggie Holidays immediately in writing through our company email address or whatsapp.
Note:
In many cases, cancellation charges are set by the Suppliers based on their contracts with us which fall under laws and jurisdiction of East Africa courts hence cancellation fees are enforceable based on the laws of those contracts.
We strongly recommend that clients are advised to purchase travel insurance.
A cancellation includes any reduction of services including reduction of the number of participants, reduction of the length of travel, removal of any specific services from the overall tour package or change of services where specific Suppliers will charge cancellation fees.
In the event that travellers need to change their travel dates, we will make every effort to accommodate the changes but Suppliers may still charge cancellation fees that will be passed on to us.
In the case of date changes, subsequent cancellations will be charged based on the original departure date.
