Tour Description:
This a short safari that takes you through the Great Rift Valley which contains some of the world’s finest mountains, plains and lakes!
Masai Mara with its abundant greatest concentration of wildlife and game rich plains.
Lakes Nakuru and Naivasha famous for their abundance of thousands of flamingos and the crater lake boat rides.
These Great Rift Valley safari can depart any day based on a minimum of 2 people. Solo travellers’ trip can be tailor – made or a group found for you.
Safari Itinerary:
Day 01: Nairobi City
You will be met at the Jomo Kenyatta international Airport and transferred to your hotel for check in and overnight.
On this day, you have an option of going for an excursion depending on the time of arrive.
Overnight at either Emara Ole Sereni hotel/ The Stanley/ Nairobi Serena/Tamarind Tree hotel/ Weston Hotel Nairobi on a bed and breakfast
Day 02: Nairobi / Masai Mara Game Reserve
Pick up from your hotel after breakfast, drive towards Kenya’s fertile highlands and down the rift escarpment on the road built by the Italian war prisoners during World War II. You will spot the charming chapel built at the foot of the escarpment along the way. Pass the Longonot earth satellite station as you drive across the valley to Narok town, stop over to stretch and continue across the acres of wheat and barley, arriving Masai Mara in time for lunch and check in. Afternoon game drive viewing and return to the lodge at sunset.
Drive time approximately 5hours, depending on your lodge/ tented camp accommodation.
Overnight at either Sarova Game camp /Mara Serena/Mara Sopa Lodge/Basecamp Explorer

Day 03: Masai Mara Full Day
Depart for a morning game drive after having your breakfast, returning to the camp at mid – day. You also have a choice to carry picnic lunch and do a full day game drive, visit the Masai village and return back to the lodge before sunset.
Dinner and overnight at either Sarova Game camp /Mara Serena/Mara Sopa Lodge/Basecamp Explorer

Day 04: Masai Mara / Lake Nakuru National Park
Leave Masai Mara after breakfast, driving across the ‘breadbasket’ landscape of Kenya, heading back north to the Maasai town Narok and travel across the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley, looking out for herds of gazelles and giraffes, as you drive through Mai –Mahiu town, arriving at Lake Nakuru national park in the afternoon. You will have opportunity to do a game drive en route to the lodge.
After lunch, leave for afternoon game drive viewing in this soda lake that attracts vast quantity of flamingos due to its abundant algae.
Return to the lodge in the evening.
Drive time approximately 3-5 hours, depending on the location of your accommodation.
Overnight at Lake Elementaita Serena/ Sarova Lion Hill /Nakuru Sopa Lodge

Day 05: Lake Nakuru National Park / Nairobi via Lake Naivasha National Park
After early morning breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru and drive to Lake Naivasha for a boat ride that takes you up close with the hippos in the water resting and see hundreds of birds in the lake including the famous Fish Eagle. Proceed to Nairobi after the boat ride in lake Naivasha.
Upon arrival back in the city, you will be dropped off at your hotel or the Jomo Kenyatta international Airport for your onward travel arrangements.
