Full Day Tour: Museum-Giraffe Center-Mamba Village-Bomas of Kenya

ITINERARY

Nairobi National Museum 0900 – 1030hrs   

Pick up from your hotel after breakfast or the Jomo kenyatta international airport, Wilson airport or from your residence.

Proceed to the National Museum of Kenya. A fascinating place to learn about Kenya’s history and culture, the National Museum aims to share Kenya’s rich cultural heritage with visitors to the city through a variety of exhibits including Kenyan art, a hall dedicated to the Kenyan War for Independence, and the prehistory of man, among others. 

 

Giraffe center: 1100 – 1230hrs   

Approx. 1-2hrs   

Depart the park and Stop at the giraffe center, which was founded to save the Rothschild Giraffe which had lost its natural habitat to agriculture and human settlement.    

It is a close up and learning tour that provides opportunity for personal interaction where you view giraffes with an option of feeding them. 

 

Mamba Crocodile Village 

Approx. 2hrs 

Later proceed to the Mamba village, the largest reptile farm in Kenya, you’ll find pools filled with every variation of croc – from the smallest hatchlings to a 5m 

It is famous for its Crocodile Farm. The pens are home to an estimated 70 Nile crocodiles. Four Maasai Ostriches can also be found strutting around their pen with grace. Visitors often come into direct personal contact with them when given the opportunity to feed these gallant birds.   It is a replica of natural paradise, spread over 30 acres, complete with a lounge and several restaurants where you can enjoy lunch.

 

Bomas of Kenya: 1500hrs -1700hrs

Bomas of Kenya is a cultural centre. 

Through art, crafts, music, dance, and architecture, it serves to preserve Kenyan culture, with artists performing traditional dances and songs from the country’s major ethnic groups. The centre features replicas of traditional villages, which were built according to the same principles and techniques used by local tribes. The site is also home to one of the largest auditoriums in Africa, seating 3500 people. It is here that you can watch a selection of more than 30 traditional dances from the different ethnic groups in Kenya, including impressive performances from the Samburu and Masai warriors. Visitors can also sample a range of traditional African foods at the onsite Utamaduni restaurant.   

The experience is always satisfying and exciting.   

You will be dropped back at the hotel, residence or the airport for your onward flight.
